Abstract

|
Computerization of clinical microbiology, including parasitology and stool examination, using two microcomputers (LC475. Macintosh), resulted in more efficient specimen handling, frequent reporting and reduction of workload by avoiding repeated clerical work. And it will serve as a useful tool to improve quality control and to control hospital infection. We experienced some important, practical things about file structure, procedure and input-layouts for clinical microbiology, which will be needed to construct laboratory information system (LIS).
